Frequently asked

Can I put the same page in multiple splits?

Yes. Click a page once to add it to the active split, click it again in another split to add it there too. Each thumbnail shows little badges for every split it's part of.

What if I have a 200-page PDF?

Thumbnails take a few seconds to render in your browser for large PDFs. Once they're up, the page picker stays smooth. For very large files, you can also paste a range like 1-50 into the range input.

Why a ZIP and not just one PDF?

You can request up to 5 splits in a single job; a ZIP is the cleanest way to deliver multiple files at once. Unzip and you have one PDF per split.

Are my files private?

Files are encrypted in transit, processed on our servers, and auto-deleted within 1 hour. Thumbnail rendering happens entirely in your browser — those bytes never leave your device.

What's the max number of pages I can split?

There's no hard cap; the worker handles whatever fits within the 50 MB upload limit. Browser thumbnail rendering may slow down on PDFs over ~200 pages.
